Including a new client that I've picked up that means that some things in my life that I may talk about in my blog I may need to keep private.

Any 30 Rock fans out there on the flist? If so then you have heard of this concept and I have made an executive decision to apply this to my work-week once or so. Right now I'm having a half glass of red wine while doing correspondence.

Tipsy? Naw- just joyfully loose. Plus I'm following it up with the earth's 2nd largest cup of green and ginger tea so its not so bad.

What I have to do today:

Correspondence
Photograph a construction site in buttfuck nowhere...in the snow.
Pay bills
Make dinner
Write a newsletter
Design 2 flyers
Beg 2 friends for forgiveness utilizing copious amounts of baked goods.
Get my behind to training
Work bar later tonight

Ugh.

So its a new year! And I have a few resolutions that I'm planning to get started on. The first I got started on today - getting my a$$ back to training. To make it easier on myself I've decided on getting myself to either MMA or Boxing every other Saturday morning. See! With a resolution to go every 2 weeks how can I loose ;)

This morning I walked 30 min in -24 degree wind chill weather to the gym and pushed myself for 2 hours training with the awesome women of the city's only all-women boxing club. It was awesome meeting everyone and the owner/trainer was great. I have quite a bit of experience in a variety of forms but never tried traditional boxing so it was fun. Though now I hurt in places that haven't seen movement in ages.

Ugh.

So yeah, flist.

I want to write, I mean I REALLY want to write. But because of stupid childhood mental trauma I can barely write these infrequent blog posts. I have such a phobia of writing personal stories or thoughts mean that I don't even line to write emails.

I fail.

Anyhow. Its here Solstice Night, and so far I have seen Lord of War, a doc on wars in Africa, and now The Beatles on Record.

There is so much I want to say and share with the world but the writing thing....stops me.

But in the spirit of renewal of the season, I want to change that. I'm alright with speaking my ideas if not writing them. So I've decided looking for a transcriber. Yup, going to start recording sessions of what I want to write and getting someone else to get to that very important step of pen to paper for me.

Anyone have leads on where to start looking for someone like this?

She's just mentioned that apparently its slim pickings online for Hanukah icons, so I've made a few to fulfill some of her festive needs!

I've decided that the guy that plays Nathan from Heroes is unattractive.

Just had a conversation close up with someone who looks like him, and well...the facial features are STRANGE close up.

Just sayin'.

Back doing door duty tonight at a club.

Which entails me makings small talk with strangers and being cheerful.

On an interesting note, I recognize one of the names on the band's guestlist as an actress I used to intern for when I was in highschool co-op.

So I'm sitting here trying to work and all of a sudden - I'm craving nachos.

Turns out like in some bad Warner Bros cartoon the downstairs neighbours myst be wafting nachos by my vents to either drive me insane or distract me from shooting Bugs.

So because I wanted to escape from The Silent Treatment at home, I took a last minute ("Hey, can you be here in 15?") gig to take cover at the club. To stave off boredom and to stress about my life, I've decided to flirt shamelessly with just about everyone that pays to get in - despite gender, age or marital status.

ITS FUN!

Apparently people think I'm a '50s pin up or play one on tv.

So I really needed a venue to bitch about the horrors and futility of my life; but I didn't feel like inflicting my awesome flist with such negativity and pain on such a regular basis. You all rock, and have shit of your own to deal with without reading my crap daily right?

So in my search for a way to do bitch quietly I found this - a safe way not to inflict you all with my suffering multiple times a day.

Yea!

Also, I've decided on a crutch for my stress dealing. I thought of smoking (nope have already lost a friend to breast cancer), drinking (nope I am a only child and would find it hard to get a new liver), drugs (too expensive and just not a fan of being that out of control or chancing going to jail), and food (I have enough of a hard time finding things to fit my bum, more weight is not required.

After weighing the options, its been decided that energy drink addiction is the safest method. At the worst I get dehydrated and moodier.

Just watched the season 5 finale of Weeds - and I may be totally off my rocker but....

Its about 10 degrees and I'm toasty working on the couch...but I have no booze to celebrate when I'm done. I need it to keep warm because the breaker blew and its getting cold in here without my Very Classy fake fireplace/heater thing.

Is it worth the effort to go into the dark, blistering cold for wine?

Any suggestions for great fic to read to warm me up when I get back?

Darn it. I guess that means I'm going.

So while on site at a client's place I destroyed a pair of panty hose while they were doing construction. Actually, sliced a bit of my foot too but serves me right for wearing heels on site :P. Anyhoo the client gave me $40 for new hose and the damn things were so expensive that I actually accepted it. Hey, they were the pretty patterned thick ones!

So finally made it to the store to replace them and what should I see on sale but ....silk stockings. The real ones, ones that require specialized equipment and training to wear properly. I am not a lingerie girl, so it was a bit of a stretch for me. Heck I'd been good so splurged on a pair and garter belt (whoo hoo! they even had a large size so it would fit my ginormous butt) and got the sales lady to show me how to properly roll them on so they didn't stretch weird or get holes before I made it out of the store.

Wearing them while working today - awesomesauce. As a tall gal who's mostly leg, I forever am pulling up pantyhose because they are not long enough. Today, everything is fine :)

Surprise bonus - didn't tell The Guy about the purchase and the response that I got after straightening the living room.....Interesting.

*cough*

There may be something to this old time-y lingerie thing after all. I may go back for a full slip.

Best pre-holiday present for self ever.

So I had a long talk with one of my girlfriends yesterday about my stupid brain issues and am making an actual effort to not be well the mess that I have been recently.

I got much accomplished yesterday and working on even more today. First step for me was actually waking up on time and getting some semblance of a morning routine together.

I think its going to be a good day.

Here I am very behind in work but at least my crappy cold is almost over. Today's goals:

Get newsletter done
Make site updates
Call 2 clients
Check up on bar construction
Clean Kitchen
Do Laundry
Make 3 corporate holiday cards
Follow up on invoices to see when people expect to pay me

Since I am not much of a writer - I made you a shiny new Steph icon instead.

So just when I thought that nothing will ever squick me again in fandom - because I have seen/read it all and cried/been aroused by it all (violence, bloodplay, character death, rape, underagedness, incest); I read something like I did today which reminds me yes - there are just some stores that make me want to wash my brain with bleach.


Uggghh.

 650 Words 1 hour 1 espresso 1 glass of cheap red wine So I wrote an article - an actual article on something. It may not be very good but I've now resolved to do it once a day.

 ..and being unsuccessful.  This is not appealing and Tiffany Amber Theseen is in it and she looks creepy as a brunette.  My inner 12 year old says that Kelley should be blonde!
